Heavy, hip, happening, and harmonious jazz grooves from the James Barela Trio. The James Barela Trio have been performing together for several years and have performed at various hotels, jazz clubs, corporate events, and festivals up and down the front range.

The trio is James Barela on EVI (electronic valve instrument), Peter Queal on guitar/vocals and Matt Powelson on Bass. The group plays an eclectic mix of original arrangements of jazz standards, latin favorites, rock classics, familiar country melodies, and so much more. Their repertoire numbers in the thousands and it’s a sure bet that you typically won’t hear the same tune twice.
