The improbability drive has engaged: our beer and donut collaborative project have returned for 2023! We’ve partnered with the creative geniuses at Pandemic Donuts to craft a salted honey amber ale Inspired by Douglas Adams’ novel, "The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy" and Pandemic Donut’s salted honey donut.

The creative culinary inspirations from Pandemic Donuts are simply bursting with unique flavors. We had many options to choose from when planning this collaboration but settled on their salted honey donut for this year’s beer inspiration. A base beer built from the ground up for its bready character, caramelized sugar notes, and full body, this amber ale is an ideal base for many donut flavors but specifically for an old-fashioned style donut. Lightly hopped to help bring balance while not overpowering the subtle sweetness in the base malts. Locally sourced clover honey was added during and after fermentation to give homage to the honey in and on the donut. Last, a careful hand was used to add just the right touch of salt to truly bring this beer to fruition. Cheers to donuts in a glass!
